The Andhra Saraswattha parishath was started in the year-1943. Due to regional factors arising after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2014, the organization was renamed Telangana Saraswatha Parishath in Hyderabad, Telangana. So, recognizing the responsibility for the growth of the Telugu language in Andhra Pradesh and other regions, under the leadership of  Dr. Ghazal Srinivas, the first telugu ghazal artist, the Andhra Saraswatha Parishath was established in Andhra Pradesh in 2017. The organization comprises of eminent personalities like Dr. Kadimilla Varaprasad Sahasravadhani,      Sri. Medikonda Srinivas Choudhary, Sri Rayaprolu Bhagavan, Sri Ponnapalli Sriramarao,Sri Chakravadhanula Reddappa Dhaveji, and Sri Ram Kumar Raju. The Andhra Saraswatha Parishath was revived in Bhimavaram.

Considering the Telangana Saraswatha Parishath as its parent body, the organization has been conducting seminars, competitions, symposia, workshops and discussions on various Telugu literary genres at international-level. Within a short time, it has gained a great esteem as a leading institution and continues forward with the slogan “Andhra Meva Jayate!” (Victory to Andhra!).

The Parishath has undertaken numerous programs to instill deeper affection and responsibility towards the Telugu language among children, youth, and students.

Without expecting any financial support from the government, the Parishath has been organizing extensive awareness programmes with the vision that Telugu must remain a people’s language — led, protected, and nurtured by the people themselves.

To bring Telugu people together on a single platform, it initiated the World Telugu Conferences. The first World Telugu Conference was held in Bhimavaram in 2022 which recieved acclaim due to the presence and participation of thousands of people. The second World Telugu Conference was held in Rajamahendravaram in 2024, coinciding with the millennium celebrations of Sri Raja Raja Narendra, and created history by attracting over two lakh participants.

The organization is now moving forward to conduct the 3rd World Telugu Conference at Guntur–Amaravati in January 2026.
